I have a biology/biochemistry background and I previously conducted animal research on various animal models of neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders. After learning that the field of neuropsychology combined insight gained from animal research with human clinical studies to elucidate the brain basis for cognition, emotions, and behavior, I knew this field will offer the proper tools to understand why and how things go wrong with the brain.
One achievement you're proud of?
I received the INS SLC Research Award at the INS 45th Annual Meeting.
When not working...
I go hiking every weekend. One of my goals for this year was to have a healthy work/life balance so I make sure I do an outdoor activity every weekend.
